Established in 1965 by master engraver George Lukes, this small family business has been producing fine work in precious metals for over 50 years. Discretion is a core value of our business, but here you will find some examples of the work we have produced over the years.
George Lukes was regarded as the finest engraver of his generation and his work was sought after by all the major gold and silver houses in London. His son, Tim, was apprenticed in the Garrard workshops, where he honed his skills as a silversmith among some of the best in the business. After travelling and working abroad he returned to London and continued to gain valuable experience.
Tim eventually settled in the picturesque town of St. Ives on the north coast of Cornwall. He set up his workshop in the town and has been manufacturing fine silver for over 20 years, continuing the family tradition of high quality craftsmanship in precious metals.
More recently one of Tim’s daughters has started to become involved in the business, designing and making her own range of jewellery. A third generation of the Lukes family, developing in her own individual style.
